Taipei, Taiwan — With Recent partnerships and technical breakthroughs, SELF TOKEN hosted a series of exclusive offline events for SELF holders to test out the SELF PAY dApp along with SELF engineers. These events allowed users to purchase products and services using the dApp, as well as pay for event registration with cryptocurrency (SELF) through ticketing platform, ACCUPASS.

During regular payment/transactions through decentralized wallets, users are normally required to pay a fee, also known as gas (ETH). As a solution for beginners to adapt faster, Leading Engineer Roger Wu and CTO Kaede came up with a replacement method known as “delegate transfer”. This technique allows users to easily pay merchants/ vendors SELF without having to worry about whether or not they have any ETH. Making the payment process less complicated and more user-friendly.

The two events that took place in January 2019 included: An all women’s afternoon tea that focused on discussions around difficulties women faced in the blockchain industry. As well as a pre-Chinese New Year auction event that allowed bidders to bid for tickets to the movie premier of The Last Thieves. In both events, attendees were only allowed to purchase goods and services using SELF and were given a live demonstration on how merchants would accept payment through the SELF PAY dApp.

As an entertainment based company, SELF TOKEN continues to emphasizes on exclusive, user-friendly, and immersive experiences. With the shooting of The Last Thieves coming to an end, the SELF team continues to work hard on increasing partnerships with merchants and vendors to maximize SELF TOKEN’s acceptability around Asia.
