Google Pay is a replacement/redesign of Android Pay. Google Pay will be used to pay for items that you buy in shops, on the web, and in apps. Airbnb, Lyft, instacart, Door Dash and Hotel Tonight are the mobile apps already support this feature. Let see about the app.

In look and feel, Google adheres to its own material design guidelines. One notable functionality of the app is on the home screen, it shows you relevant stores around you where you can pay with Google Play. This suggested list is fully personalised, based on your previous usage in stores and your location too.

Like other payments app, Google Pay also offers you to add your loyalty cards and you can get your recent transactions on the home screen.

Developers can simply use the Google API to verify the user has Google Pay enabled and then can accept payments through Google Pay. Google stated that the APIs are simple to use because Google is not processing that payment, but securely pass the credentials to whoever is doing it.

The existing Google Wallet app will be updated by Google with a new name “Google Pay Send”, which is used to send money to your friends and family.

Android users in the U.S. and U.K. will be most benefited users by the new Google Pay app. For those who are interested to install the app in your android mobile use this play store link. As of now, this app supports limited countries and bank. Check this list to see your country is in.
