“Women, sex, and porn are constantly on my mind. I feel like a jack-off junky, unable to handle the temptations of relapse. Besides working twenty-four-seven and finding some hobbies, how can I stop jacking off all day?.”

Brother, I’m currently on 3 years retention..

And preceding the abundant joys of the retentive path, I was faced with an ongoing challenge..

I was only one man, facing two over-sized monsters:

Sex and masturbation; two superior opponents, packed with an endless supply of ammunition, and ready to ambush on a moment’s notice.

However, the decision had been made.. the die had been cast..

Eager to stack up my retentive days and embark on a life-changing pursuit, it was time to lace em’ up and partake in a painstaking battle for the ages.

Such victory would be the retentive equivalent of defeating both Kobe and Lebron.

Like outwilling Brady..

or out-scheming Manning..

Then.. it started..

At the very first blow of the whistle, an all-out blitz from an army of urges subjected me to a lustful onslaught.

But I had something special. A secret, majestic weapon with rounds of ammunition in the chamber:

Purpose

Brothers, any man looking to excel on the retentive path must submit one’s purpose.

I’ve said it before, “a purposeless man will remain a streakless man.”

Throwing oneself into work, hobbies, or obsession, may not be a desirable path.

But in the genesis stage of the retentive path, productive distraction often prevents ejaculatory disasters.

My brother, master the retentive arts, and your world is at your mercy.

“As a long-time retainer, how does one deal with lust? I am often blitzed by bouts of urges. Any advice?”

AJ, In the genesis stage of this epic journey, I was fortunate to make a significant, ground-breaking discovery.

The mind is an ever-obsessive entity, relentlessly fetching, tooth and nail, for the slightest problem to host its obsessive nature.

Lust is to the mind, what a bone is to the dog.But why subject a hungry dog to a bone-less existence?

Instead, give the drooling dog another bone to chew: Purpose.

The fruition of one’s purpose, will not form when faced with faint, half-hearted efforts.

Purpose demands complete obsession, undying persistence, and commitment to consistent action. Such variables that contribute towards fruition of one’s purpose effectively deem urges inactive.

But, while in pursuit of such purpose, one must proceed with caution. Well, because we can’t deny it..

Social media distributes dark, lustful entities disguised as delicious treats to destroy the existence of one’s streak.

But I’ve said it before, retaining is like running a garden, but mental celibacy is like operating a farm.

Here’s my advice..

If you haven’t already, submit to purpose, deem distractions as pointless, and watch the mind permanently purify from lustful thoughts.

Social distance from social media and temporarily detox the mind of video consumption.

You’ve already made it this far. But chances are, this isn’t your final destination.

Many retentive days and celibate ways lay before you.

Stay strong brother.

“The first 19 days were normal. I mean, everything was a breeze. But the next day, things took a turn. I was overburdened by feelings of anxiety and fear of relapsing. And by the end of the day, I released.”

How can I get better at handling urges and cope with relapse anxiety?”

Such fear is powerful. And need not be released, only intensified. Contradictory to popular belief, relapse anxiety isn’t a liability, but a sufficient asset while on this tremendous journey.

Such fear need not be gone, nor should it be subject to division or oblivion.

Relapse anxiety isn’t a dis-ease. But uneasiness of such thought can fuel the retentive decision. Urges are a part of the game.

And like the relentless athlete, aim to win and desire to dominate, despite the strength of such opponents.

Keep going brother.
