The MLB has changed tremendously since it was first started. The number of strike outs has jumped a lot because hitters are trying to smash the ball out of the park. Not a lot of hitters are trying to hit balls in the gaps or get base hits up the middle. When hitters try to hit home runs they drop their back shoulder and try to do to much. The 2015 royals are a great example of this. They just put the ball in play and put pressure on the defense. It was nice when they got a home run every once in a wile but they weren’t going for one every time. Pitchers are also much more advanced than they were back in the 1900’s. Pitchers have a lot more statistics and research done for what is the best pitch to throw at the best time. They also have more pitches that they can throw and have more movement. Fastballs are also faster than they were back in the day. There are also more strategies that players use to hit the ball. Players use to just hit but know there are a lot more hitting techniques that can help you transfer your power to the ball.

Pitching and hitting are not the only things that have changed. The MLB uniforms have come a long way from 1900. The uniforms are light weight and easy to move around in. Back then, the uniforms looked a little bit uncomfortable because they were so saggy and looked super heavy.
