MISSION One: Yes, We’re Open!

HYPOTHESES

· Decentralized computing is the birth of an era of titanic technological, economic and societal innovation.

· SBV is a rare and outsized opportunity for us to do good while doing well — together, with the people and culture of our choosing. That’s the ultimate goal.

· We must operate quickly, with maximal flexibility, in the mode of exploration. Major innovation is happening fast, even as the “rules” are still being written.

· The new model is “software as a liquid asset” (SLA), all-in bets are antithetical, and the point is to optimize for throughput and return.

· SLA is a multidisciplinary art, implicating at least three overlapping functions: (1) digital asset management (Capital); (2) digital asset production (Workbench); and (3) the cultivation of community with which to maximize the opportunities in (1) and (2) — including both the SBV community we’re building (Commonwealth) and the larger industry (Community Equity).

· SBV is the right structure, we’re the right guys, and now is the right time.

· We have ample resources to “show, not tell” in as much as we can “bet the till” this year to learn a lot and lock in substantial progress before we need to consider (a) optimizing our model and/or (b) pursuing additional investment (internal or external).

OBJECTIVES

>>> For the business

· As to Capital: (i) investigate market for and develop an outside direct investment strategy; (ii) investigate market for and develop an internal high-yield trading strategy; (iii) operationalize the throughput engineering model as an interface between Capital as the “line of credit” and Workbench as the “borrower;” and (iv) develop strategy to maximize synergistic lift, if any, of SBV’s integrated portfolio of activities on Capital’s deal flow access and quality.

· As to Workbench: (i) ship product; (ii) generate revenue; and (iii) validate the throughput engineering model in operation.

· As to Commonwealth and Community Equity: demonstrate ROI on community investment and develop an operating strategy.

· As to Mission Control: Demonstrate operational excellence in the execution of a successful mission.

· As to SBV as Mothership: develop compelling opportunities for new missions and/or to accelerate, expand and/or amend this mission, with or without additional capital, said capital internal or OPM.
