Hosting 50 public forums all across Missouri this year — and hearing from folks of all political stripes about what matters most to them, to their families, and to their immediate communities — has been one of the brightest parts of 2017 for me.

My final town hall for the year will be this Saturday in Kirkwood (details below), and I would love to see you there.

The feedback I’ve gotten from town halls this year is already the driving force behind a number of fights I’m waging in the Senate, like making sure we invest in rural broadband, protecting Missourians’ healthcare, boosting job opportunities throughout the state, confronting the harrowing opioid crisis ravaging our communities, and making sure our roads and bridges are safe and meeting the needs of folks who use them everyday.

And I want to be clear: it’s okay if you don’t always agree (heck, it’s okay if you never agree with me). I still want to see you Saturday because that just means its even more important that I hear about your experiences, your concerns, and your ideas to make sure I’m really representing all of my state.

I’m not just the Senator of people who agree with me. I’m the Senator of the great State of Missouri, and there’s nothing I take more seriously.

Having a great back and forth with a packed house in Parkville earlier this year

If you weren’t able to come out this year, feel free to contact my office at any time.

And to those who were able to come out, and to the 50 amazing communities who hosted these forums and helped make these conversations possible, thank you from the bottom of my heart.
