Sendy Community Update — October 2018
It’s been an exciting month for the team, with new integration discussions, presale contributions and Sendy advancing to the ‘Are You China Ready’ startup finals. With 2018 coming to an end, we’re very close to launching Sendy and getting tokens into the inboxes of millions.
Advancing to the ‘Are You China Ready?’ Finals
At the Innovation Festival in December, Sendy will join 26 startups from around the world pitching their idea in-front of Chinese VCs, large enterprises, and potential distribution partners. With a population of over 1.3B, the Chinese market is a massive potential opportunity for Sendy. We’ve recently added integrations with messaging apps in our roadmap following the development of our Email Rewards API.
Sendy Launch Date & Integrations
We’re on track to launch Sendy by the end of January on SmartrMail! We’ve also been in discussion with larger email agencies about integrating Sendy into their own infrastructure. With these agencies having 5x the email volume of SmartrMail and Sendicate, this provides a massive boost to adoption and also allows us to get adoption and data to present to other email platforms while doing outreach to integrate with Sendy.
Throughout November we’ll be building an admin dashboard that any email provider or agency can hook their systems into and manage Sendy between their senders and subscribers.
Token Sale Update
We had some presale contributions throughout October which will enable Sendy to launch and start growing the network. However with the current bear market, the feedback we’ve gotten from larger crypto funds is to get traction before selling more tokens. Once the platform launches by January, the token sale will pause, and treasury will be reserved for secondary sales and future development. A public sale is delayed to a future date in 2019.
