04/13 progress

This week I completed a draft of the whole site and revisited color palettes. I came up with a blue/red scheme that alternates through pages. Navigation through the site starts horizontally and as topics are selected the pages adjust, giving more information about each topic. Each page has a dominate color.

Things I need to think about:

• “blog” — make it more of an advice column. What would I call this page?Give more info about the goals of the site, allow questions to be submitted, allow stories to be submitted, and show these submissions along with original posts in a blog-like format. How can I make it more than a one-and-done experience?
• Integrate icons more seamlessly. Color? Line vs. shape?
• How will I prototype this thing?
• Flow of artwork. Start thinking about how transitions will work and make adjustments to artwork. Example: is the homepage navigation one long page?
