Stakeholders:
- Patients coming for treatment — visually impaired/blind or rehabilitation
- Nurses, Doctors, Employees of the building
- Receptionists
- Healthcare Service Workers
Different Stakeholder Mappings:
- Navigating the Building and getting service
- Treatment Description for the patient
(Will upload more)
Possible Areas of Design Innovation:
- Common Spaces (Lobby and Garden)
- Communication between Patient and Provider
- Communication between both Providers
- Rehabilitation Area (Equipment or Accessibility)
Summary:
I still do not know what I want to dive into in terms of the 2 opportunities we have to design. What will help is knowing UPMC’s specific process in treating a patient as well as what kind of process a patient goes through as they enter in the building for treatment (or even before then for appointment).
There are too many options, but the list that I have provided above is the start of what I am thinking and I will shortly make it the problem statement more specific within the scope of the 4 possible areas of design innovation.
