Requirements

Before you can start, you need an invitation. Because we are still in a beta, we do not want to open the access uncontrollably yet.

You want to participate?

Then register on beta.senseering.io. We will provide you with an account as soon as possible.

You have an idea for an exciting project?

Then write a mail to mail@senseering.de or join our Discord and tell us what you want to use the MyDataEconomy for.

We reward particularly exciting projects with a voucher for a free manager (node) for the entire duration of the beta (up to and including January 31, 2021).

You would like a personal demo or introduction?

Then contact us via Discord or directly by mail to participate in one of our onboarding seminars.

You can find the documentation here. Feel free to join our Discord and stay up to date on the latest developments, exchange ideas about possible improvements or directly express wishes for future features and thus help to shape the data economy of the future!

FAQs

How is data purchased and shared ?

To get an impression of classical data sources you can simply start the search and search for sensors in general. A result of this search will be for example an environmental sensor in Cologne. The data can now be downloaded for free. In the future these will not only be our environmental sensors, but also your exciting and sexy Smart Home or Industrial IOT data!

The search results provide a sample data set, which is randomly generated and resembles the structure of the provided data. A description of the data source, location and provider is also provided. The sensor data can be examined more closely by clicking on Learn more and finally ordered.

Now you can simply download the desired data!

How do I start a manager and use the full power of MyDataEconomy?

To connect your own data sources, create dashboards, develop services, use the IOTA-Tangle and many other benefits you need a manager. To start your own personal node (manager) in the network, you have to increase the number of manager seats in the settings first. Afterwards it is possible to start new managers comfortably in the OVH-Cloud in the overview.

How can I create dashboards?

You need a manager and of course data. A quick search lets us find and purchase environmental sensors as before.

Move this data into your own manager: This data can be easily downloaded or moved to your own manager

Visualize the moved data in your own manager: The manager downloads the data, which allows to view and edit the data of the environment sensor. Visualizations of temperature, humidity and air pressure can be compiled and evaluated here.

For example, a dashboard could look like this:

And now it’s your turn! Show the world what you have to offer.

How do I connect my own data? In our documentation you will find instructions on how to connect one or more of our sample data sources. If you want to write your own data source, go ahead.
In our github repository you can find important code snippets, for example for the Azure IoT DevKit.
