I made peace within and with parts of me
I hid in undergarments and garments of perfection
the moment I wore nothing but the skin I was gifted.

I felt as new as the first day, I shared my body
so new to feel lifted past fitting in fitted jeans
where I allow myself to be me, as he caresses my ripples,
wrinkles, stretch marks, veins, and…
