Men, Stop Asking Women If They’re Bringing Their Smut to Bed

As someone who has been part of the BSDM lifestyle in one way or another for over 20 years, I am well educated in a lot of things. Especially consensual non-consent (CNC), helping to fulfill fantasies, and much more. As much as I have always loved to read, however, I’ve never read a ton of smut. Sure, I read the Story of O, The Sleeping Beauty series, and a few other tomes but for the most part, I stuck to watching my smut.

I’ve recently started reading The Empyrean series, so of course, on every platform I spend time on, my algorithm is now bursting with this content.

One of the top things I’ve seen in comments is from men and it’s almost always the same thing:

“Are you bringing this smut into the bedroom?”

As in, are we, as readers of fantasy smut, now expecting our partners to facilitate any fantasies that are floating around in our heads due to what we are reading?

Here’s the short answer: No.

We are fully aware partners in real life don’t come equipped with two cocks (not in Empyrean, but yes, it exists in smut land!)
