The Beckoning
A poem

I want to peel back your layers
to reveal
the tender shoot
of you.
Freshly emerged
and touched by the light
for the first time.
I want to taste your sweet,
innocence, sweat and tears.
No dashes of salt or ego,
only the purest form
of you.
I ask you to join me here
and hope you answer
my only sent out invite,
sealed with a tongue lick
as I conjure you in my mind.
