For too many people, sex work is a dirty, immoral business. Illegal in many states, the occupation is vilified as criminal. Many believe that sex workers don’t have the right to do this job in the first place. And why would women want to anyway?

Sex work is viewed as degrading to women. Those who do consent to it can’t possibly respect themselves.

Even those in our society who believe sex work should be legal (or at least decriminalized), the assumption still persists that it’s brainless and humiliating labor.

Yes, you can make a lot of money, but at what cost? Though many sex workers have stepped forward to counter such claims, these stereotypes persevere.

Sex work isn’t valued as a legitimate career choice. Unfortunately, this too often leads the provider to look down on herself.

Hannah Heart, an “erosworker” and mentor, doesn’t think it needs to be this way. She’s out to change the sex-work landscape by coaching cis-gender female sex workers on how to find more value in their work — and ultimately, in themselves.
