Earlier this month, I had the pleasure of speaking at ANT Wireless’s annual Symposium in Banff, Alberta. ANT Wireless recently became a division of Garmin Canada and specializes in producing ultra-low power sensors and wireless technology. Their Symposium brings companies and professionals from across the globe together to discuss core themes and industries that are contributing to the transformative opportunity within the IoT, so the event was a natural fit for Sentenai.

In my presentation, I spoke about how IoT sensor networks are empowering people from a range of industries to drastically streamline their operations, prevent machine failures and access actionable insights in real-time. Pulling from real world use cases within the traditional agriculture, indoor hydroponic farming, and oil and gas sectors, I demonstrated how connected sensor networks, data mining and advanced analytics can be leveraged to realistically deliver on organizations’ lofty digital transformation goals.

Considering the rate at which the IoT is continuing to advance, I also outlined key opportunities for the next generation of sensor hardware and software. Embedded below is a copy of my Symposium presentation, in case you’d like to review it in its entirety.
