Sinergise wins EU grant worth more than 1.1 MIO EUR
Today marks the start of a new project, bringing even better value to Copernicus data. We are excited about the potential of the “Earth Observation Value Adding Services” project and cooperation with GeoVille, an Austrian GIS company from Innsbruck, which provides products, services and consultancy for geo-information applications specializing in satellite earth observation. With SME Instrument grant European Commission confirmed their beliefs in Sentinel Hub solution.
The EO VAS project
The project is about to reshape Earth Observation Value Chain by significantly simplifying development and delivery of Earth Observation Added Value Services. It is built around Sinergise’s award-winning (2016 Copernicus Masters Award) engine for archiving, processing and distribution of satellite data, and GeoVille’s extensive set of processing algorithms.
EO-Toolset as the first virtual market place for EO VAS
EO VAS is focusing on the agriculture and non-life insurance as well as on the entire optical EO space industry application domain field. The main delivery of the project, EO-Toolset has an ambition to become the first virtual market place for EO VAS, where all participants in EO value chain (end-users, data and service providers) would benefit.
Project’s innovation hub will foster development of EO services, becoming a virtual meeting place for the exchange of new ideas and encouraging EO VAS experimenting. It will present a virtual business incubator for emerging EO oriented start-ups, that lack the means to commercialise their EO services by themselves.
With the support from EU the project will provide pre-processing engine for other EO domain services, helping them to reduce pre-processing costs and to turn their attention into domain expertise and higher quality of their products.
