The Mosaic Generator provides easy way to access and download Sentinel-2 products, which you can import into your favourite GIS tool for offline use. You simply define your area of interest, configure the visualization parameters that are used to display Sentinel-2 imagery and download the data in the GeoTiff format. We have gathered feedback from many existing users and added new features to make it even more useful.

Easier Configuration

After creating different configurations in Sentinel WMS Configurator you choose the one you want to work on directly in Mosaic Generator. All configurations are saved for further usage so that user can fine-tine desired content. You simply choose an instance, previously created in WMS Configurator, and access your layer settings, which can be used to generate mosaics.

Layers, styles, visualisation parameters and raw reflectance data

The Mosaic Generator offers a dropdown option for choosing among the layers and styles. It also provides you several visualisation parameters for displaying Sentinel-2 data. For each layer you can select one of several styles as well, including visualised, reflectance or original Sentinel data, which are visible after the image is generated. After setting all desirable parameters, you can refresh the preview to get a better idea on how the result will look like. Some styles provide also fine-tune rendering option parameters such as brightness (offset), contrast (gain) and luminance (gamma).

You can choose among the layers.

Mosaicking priority, atmospheric correction and other useful features

You can reach the desirable outcome by defining the date of the images, mosaicking priority to sort different tiles, coordinate reference system, image format, image resolution, cloud correction, and more. Very useful feature is also atmospheric correction parameter, which uses special algorithms to make the output images more natural. Before focusing on the last step, set the time range the image is generated for. You can choose among a fixed (absolute) and relative (current) time range.

Generating the images

Before generating the output image, you need to define the area of interest by drawing a rectangle or a polygon (data will be clipped to selected area). The easiest thing is probably to import GML or KML file. You can select more layers for final image generation, in which case the ZIP file, containing all the images, will be created and downloaded to your computer for further usage. Generated images can be easily imported into any GIS application as a raster layer.

Before generating the image you can select more layers.
