Uppsala Security joins the AFRIPOL Virtual Cybercrime Awareness Day on June 27, 2024
Singapore, June 24, 2024 — Uppsala Security, a state-of-the-art provider of award-winning security tools and services for Crypto AML/CTF, Transaction Risk Management, Regulatory Compliance, Transaction Tracking, and Cyber Security, has announced its attendance at the virtual AFRIPOL Cybercrime Awareness Day on June 27, 2024.
Experts from Uppsala Security will join AFRIPOL, INTERPOL, UNODC, GROUP-IB, Kaspersky, Trend Micro, and other partners in leading sessions to educate police forces about emerging risks and new trends in cybercrime.
This event is tailored for cybercrime investigators, IT and communication technology officers, and criminal intelligence officers, offering a valuable platform for information sharing and exchange, focusing on the emergence and growth of cybercrime across Africa.
Uppsala Security is not new to collaborating with AFRIPOL. In 2023, Uppsala Security’s team joined the Africa Cyber Surge II Operation, led by INTERPOL and AFRIPOL, to successfully tackle the cybercrime surge in Africa. Additionally, this year, we conducted training on virtual assets and open-source intelligence in Mauritius, as part of an event organized by AFRIPOL and INTERPOL.
