Singapore, 28 December 2020 — We hereby officially announce that Uppsala Security’s integrated AML security service, which is supported by the Samsung Blockchain Wallet and available in South Korea and Singapore, will be expanded to 17 more countries starting with December 21st, 2020.

The newly added countries that will benefit from Uppsala Security’s protection within the Samsung Blockchain Wallet, in addition to South Korea and Singapore, are: Australia, Austria, Brazil, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Iceland, Norway, Philippines, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom and United States of America (19 countries in total).

Users of Samsung’s latest mobile phone models from the previously mentioned countries that are able to access the Samsung Blockchain Wallet will be protected by the AML security service provided by Uppsala Security (once they update the Samsung Blockchain Wallet to its latest version).

The “Blockchain Service AML Integration Agreement” enables features that are available with the ultimate goal of offering state-of-the-art security solutions to the Samsung Blockchain Wallet users. Through this integration, the following features are implemented:

1. Check the safety of a wallet address before proceeding with a crypto transaction.

By having access to the Sentinel Protocol’s Threat Intelligence Database (TRDB), users will be able to check the safety of a wallet address previous to proceeding with any virtual asset transactions. With doing so, users can make sure that they are not interacting with malicious wallets that have a history of being used in various crimes such as hacking, scamming or the dark web.

2. Receive ‘push alerts’ about suspicious outgoing or incoming transactions that happened without approval.

In the event that digital assets are transferred due to the leakage of private keys or mismanagement of credentials, it is generally difficult for users to immediately notice the incident and take proper action. However, Sentinel Protocol’s AML solution alerts Samsung Blockchain Wallet users through push notifications when unusual transactions are detected.

3. Track the Money Laundering process and receive a legally valid analysis report.

If Samsung Blockchain Wallet users experience the loss of their digital assets due to hacking or fraud, incident tracking requests can be submitted through the Sentinel Portal platform. After a complete investigation process, users will then receive transaction tracking reports that can be handed over as legal evidence to law enforcement agencies.

Download the Samsung Blockchain Wallet now and start transacting your virtual assets safely.
