23 October 2018: InfoCorp group of entities is delighted to announce the appointment of Kok Cheang-hung as –

1. Advisor, Capital Market for InfoCorp Foundation and

2. Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) of InfoCorp Technologies overseeing all commercial-related affairs.

Cheang-hung has over 23-years of experience spanning global capital markets, investment and corporate governance. Until May 2017, he was an Executive Vice-President with Bursa Malaysia (Malaysian securities and derivatives exchange), where he engaged entrepreneurs, bankers, investors and other stakeholders in various capital market activities. Prior to that, Cheang-hung was Chief Investment Officer of a private investment firm based in South Africa, where he assessed private equity and public market opportunities, both in developed and emerging countries. The global remit included, inter alia, companies in the ICT and technology space.

Cheang-hung’s career has also brought him to the UAE and Singapore. He was seconded to Dubai as Head of DBS Vickers (part of DBS Group), covering the Middle Eastern region. In this capacity, he also supported DBS Bank’s business development and investment banking activities throughout his three-year tenure in the region. Cheang-hung also previously served the interests of Singapore Exchange (SGX) and Bank of America. He presently serves on the Board of Directors of Kronologi Asia, a public listed enterprise data management firm.

Cheang-hung’s qualifications include an honours degree in Mathematics from University of Malaya and a Masters of Finance from RMIT University, Melbourne, Australia. He was also recipient of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ scholarship to the Università per Stranieri di Siena in Tuscany, Italy. Veramente!

“This is an important talent milestone for InfoCorp and a major step towards our goal: building the leading blockchain-based platform for the delivery of financial inclusion services. Cheang-hung not only brings along a wealth of corporate governance related experience from his days with Bursa Malaysia and SGX, but also his rich experience in global investment management and banking. We are delighted to have him on board and look forward to his guidance in applying capital market management expertise for InfoCorp Foundation, and lead InfoCorp Technologies’ engagement on commercial matters to help bring financial inclusion to the many who are underserved and unbanked.”

Roy Lai, CEO and Founder of InfoCorp Technologies and Chairman of InfoCorp Foundation.

“Given the challenges associated with any nascent commercial endeavour and that there are a great many charlatans in this emerging token economy, it is heartening to note that this is a team that is serious about adopting appropriate governance practises to ensure a robust and sustainable economic outcome for all its stakeholders.

I also ardently believe that blockchain will help improve efficiencies in the financial intermediation process and that the importance of working with the right like-minded team can make an immense social impact to the lives of many. If not us, who? If not now, when?” Cheang-hung shares.

As such, he is excited by the potential of the Sentinel Chain project and its achievements thus far. We at Sentinel Chain certainly think so too!
