2019 is here and Sentinel Chain is 9 months old at year end!
Happy new year first of all.
During these 9 months, we have seen Sentinel Chain whizzing at blistering-speed with developments on all fronts delivered by a passionately dedicated international Team operating out of different countries. Across the world, 2018 was a year that will be remembered by many for various different events from superfluous to very serious: from An American Princess in London to the USA-North Korea Summit — the first time ever a US President met a North Korean Leader, from Stan Lee’s earthly departure while the world demands more iconic Marvel super-hero action to the dramatic rescue operation where real-life heroes saved 12 kids in Thailand from a labyrinth of flooding caves — on the business front 2 companies reached $1 Trillion stock market valuation for the first time ever and the crypto-world fell from the fevered-frenzied highs and the first casualties from self-driving cars were recorded…
Among many memories, 2018 will leave different time-markers forever stamped in our minds. From my vantage point as neither an outsider nor totally an insider drifting in and out of the Sentinel Chain smith-shop, 2018 has been a blurred timeline of events with execution, implementation and turning the impossible into possible daily the only constant focus at the center of everything the Team did.
From the birth of the SENC token at the ICO launch in March 2018 to the winning of the Entrepreneur of the Year Award by the founder and CEO Roy Lai at the other end of the year’s timeline — 2018 truly has been a blink of an eye! What are the stories and lessons I will tell my future grand-kids about this intense time at Sentinel Chain in 2018? I will probably speak of how a closely-knit Team created opportunities and faced challenges in a rapidly evolving, shape-shifting space that seemed to be forever stuck at a very painful childbirth stage. In a time where most in the business world and the media echo the safe way of doing things the way they have always been done, where business-people copy checklists, plans and systems from those that came before and happily descend into the well-trodden path of mediocrity and similarity, this amazing Team stretched out looking to create everything anew.
The constant focus on a very strong vision and delivering value daily regardless of the challenges faced the constant driver of everyone in the Team. And what about that extra factor that continued to drive the growth of Sentinel Chain — the strong Community that supports the Sentinel Chain vision; people from all walks of life around the world cheering the Team on. I am grateful for the Team and the Community for this amazing 2018; as I toast 2019, I wish this year will turn all your dreams into a beautiful reality. Kindly find below the Monthly Summary.
Technical Developments:
1. FarmTrek is LIVE! Available in Google Play Store, pre-registered livestock owners in Myanmar can now download the app. You can read more about the FarmTrek launch here.
PR, Marketing and Events:
1. CrossPay Rebrand: CrossPay was rebranded as FarmTrek to better reflect our strategy and product focus. Read more about the why, when and how here.
2. Channel News Asia Singapore aired a 3-part series showcasing the Entrepreneur of the Year general categories award winners with wonderful footage of Roy as New Entrepreneur of the Year 2018. The programme will be uploaded onto toggle.sg at a later date. We will be sharing the link once it is uploaded by the organisers. Channel News Asia is a 24-hour television news channel and news agency based in Singapore, broadcasting to 28 countries in Asia. This is an event that is bringing awareness to Sentinel Chain.

3. Blockchain Cryptocurrency Talk & Networking — Yogyakarta.
Connecting and exploring opportunities worldwide, InfoCorp is brought the Sentinel Chain vision to an audience of 500 university students and professionals at Blockchain Cryptocurrency Talk & Networking in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The event was jointly organised by Indonesian HACKLAB.ROCKS and Singapore-based Nakka. They advised that videos will be released in due course. We will be happy to share the link once we receive it!
4. Peak Magazine was a partner of Entrepreneur of the Year Award event and they brought InfoCorp and Sentinel Chain’s message to a wider market segment. From a marketing & PR perspective, these are major achievements and are opening new doors! It was nice for the Team to finally meet the Lai family. You can see the article here.

5. InfoCorp and InfoCorp Myanmar participated to Myanmar’s 3rd Entrepreneurship Summit 2018. Held at the Myanmar International Convention Centre II, Nay Pyi Taw — the State Capital of the country, this event was graced by State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi and U Thaung Tun, Union Minister for Investment and Foreign Economic Relations, who called for the collaborative efforts of private sectors to implement the aims of the Myanmar Sustainable Development Plan-MSDP which was already drawn by the Union Government for the social improvements and environmental conservation.
It was a great opportunity for InfoCorp’s Founder and CEO to meet and present Sentinel Chain to State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi — the Team was very excited to hear that the State Counsellor is aware of the Sentinel Chain Project!
