Weekly Progress Update (28 May to 3 June)
A. Technical development
CrossPay Mobile App Development
1. We have successfully kick started the CrossPay pilot project with Myanmar Insurance HQ team in Yangon.
2. CrossPay app performance is continuously being tested and improved to handle 2G internet connectivity (i.e. low internet bandwidth conditions).
3. CrossPay Mobile app now has the feature to “Delete unverified livestock”. This option enables the livestock owner to delete livestock which has not been verified.
4. CrossPay Business app now has feature to view details of verified livestock owner identity and livestock identity.
5. Authorization has been enforced at all API endpoints — livestock owner and attester can now only access the services they have been authorized.
6. From our design review, we have analysed that concurrent use of Managed Service Identity and Active Directory is the best solution to implement the AKV authentication and to protect the multichain private keys.
Sentinel Chain Development
1. Transfer of ERC20 from home bridge to foreign bridge is now complete.
2. We are reviewing the design architecture between MultiChain and Sentinel Chain.
3. We are reviewing the design to extend and implement EIP820 within Sentinel Chain to include tracking of owner identity address.
B. Country updates
Myanmar
- The Joint Pilot Project is kicking off on 5 June in NayPyiTaw, Myanmar.
- The team will be testing different phone models on the ground. Through this Pilot, we can collect more inbound (user-centric) information to improve our Crosspay mobile app development.
- To successfully drive the adoption of our technology through the local language and usability, we are considering factors such as rural environment, user literacy, solution concept, etc.
- Project review with the various Myanmar ministries is scheduled for the last week of June.
Argentina
- CEO Roy Lai together with Country Manager Bernardo Corti will be hosting our first Argentina meetup in Rosario on 7 June. More than 40 participants have registered for the event. Stay tuned for further details.
- The team has scheduled several meetings with targeted stakeholders in the insurance and blockchain industry to evaluate partnership agreements.
C. Our Team
- From China, we welcome our new Community Manager Yang Gexi who will be managing our 13,000 WeChat community members.
- We also welcome 2 new interns to our team — Andrew Tsui, a 3rd year student from National University of Singapore (NUS) majoring in Accounting and Finance, and Preston Sledge, a 2nd year student from University of Texas and co-founder of non-profit organisation, Texas Blockchain Foundation (http://blockchain.ece.utexas.edu/).
D. PR, Marketing, Community
