CrossPay Mobile App Development

We have released CrossPay version 1.13 for internal quality testing.
This release incorporates important functions to save loading time and uninterrupted use of app in the event of inconsistent internet connection such as:
(a) a “Retry” link on each function calling to the server; and
(b) mobile data caching of owner identity and attester identity while data entry is in progress.

In this version release, we have also

(c) updated the livestock vaccination related questionnaire based on our discussions with Livestock Breeding and Veterinary Department (LBVD);
(d) implemented Base64 encoded images for faster image upload and download from the app;
(e) added ‘last updated’ time to livestock and livestock owner profile — to reflect data change that has happened between the attester verified time and approval time.
(f) updated all our DateTime to UTC+0 timezone. DateTime saved in our database, blockchain and mobile will use standard UTC+0 format to ensure seamless communication between the different components.

Here are the items under consideration in our next sprint:

(a) CrossPay Mobile — to insert a field for “Nominee” as second livestock owner (Spouse/Child — to be confirmed) to facilitate a legitimate claim in the event that both the principal livestock owner and livestock perish in an accident.
(b) With the general consensus of issuing loan(s) to women instead of men, the “Nominee” field will also be an additional security feature.
(c) CrossPay Business — to have multiple “Log-in” for Attesters to share a company-owned mobile phone with NFC feature.

This version release incorporates important security related functions such as:(a) Implementation to prevent a livestock owner/attester from updating profiles of other livestock owners/attesters.
(b) Implementation to prevent attester from verifying livestock owner/livestock details using the address of other attesters.

Sentinel Chain Development

We are currently
(a) completing the last POA bridge hardfork testing; and
(b) creating the LCT blockchain smart contract.

B. Country updates

Myanmar

Joint Pilot Project

(a) Pilots 2 and 3 are in progress. Despite the wet weather, our team on the ground is racing to complete the next phase of the Project before the country’s heaviest downpour from August to end of September.
(b) The farm owners for the next phase, handpicked by LBVD, are community leaders in their own towns and are eager to explore our solution to improve their respective livestock breeding business.
(c) Their involvement will help raise awareness amongst the 2 different townships in Kanbalu, Sagaing Region and Sin Phyu Kyun, Magway Region.
(d) The next phase of the Project will involve tagging 30 and 20 cows respectively.

C. Partnerships

Sentinel Chain and POA Network establish business and technical partnership for joint design and development of ERC20-to-ERC20 cross chain bridge that facilitates the integration of both ecosystems to extend the utility of SENC and POA20 tokens. Both networks will be fully compatible with Ethereum Protocol and support only Parity client 1.7 and later. This is a direct evolution in the world of blockchain, closing the gap between private and public blockchain implementations.

Meetups

Last Friday, Sentinel Chain Blockchain Advisor BokkyPooBah hosted our Sentinel Chain Meetup + AMA in Sydney, Australia.

During the Meetup, our Founder and CEO Roy Lai offered his technical perspectives on Sentinel Chain’s bridged sidechain architecture and provided details on Sentinel Chain’s use case in Myanmar.

Sentinel Chain Sydney Meetup + AMA

18 July: This Wednesday, we’re hosting our Sentinel Chain Singapore Meetup — co-hosted by LongHash: When Moo? Sentinel Chain: Blockchain for Financial Inclusion
Join us to find out how CEO and Founder Roy Lai and his team from InfoCorp Technologies are solving financial inclusion through livestock asset tokenisation. Joining the meetup in a panel discussion are — Keith Lim, CEO of SURETY.AI, Nicola Castelnuovo, Co-Founder and Group Chief Commercial Officer of Crowdo, Robin Lee, Co-Founder and CEO of HelloGold and Thorsten Neumann, Co-Founder and CTO of SmartPesa.

Sentinel Chain is a blockchain-based international marketplace for cross-border financial services and the world’s first platform to accept the use of livestock as collateral. Taking a unique approach to the last mile problem of financial inclusion, the Sentinel Chain model establishes livestock provenance through the creation of livestock insurance on blockchain — the registration of livestock provenance on blockchain provides the unbanked with a new opportunity: the real possibility of accepting livestock as ‘collateral’ for loans.
