1. Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI)
Our Founder and CEO Roy Lai shared his entrepreneurial journey at the YSEALI Summit organised annually by the Asia Foundation. Amongst the attendants, there were many scholars and invites of the US Embassy in Singapore. We hope this will lead to even greater exposure of our project with impact investors.
2. InfoCorp team held our inaugural state of the startup address on Skype by our CEO and Founder, Roy Lai to our global teams across 7 offices. It was an inspiring session that recounted our incredible achievements in 2018, reminding us that “Impossible can be possible if we put our minds to it”. It reminded us all that what binds us all together is the shared vision of inclusiveness. Our shared good and bad times are what makes a team a stronger team. Above all, the CEO reminded us that the most important part of business model is ‘social development’*; we are the Uber and Airbnb of financial inclusion.
3. Channel News Asia aired the first of its 3-part series showcasing the general categories award winners with wonderful footage of Roy as New Entrepreneur of the Year 2018. The programme will be uploaded onto toggle.sg at a later date. We will be sharing the link once it is uploaded by the organisers. Channel News Asia is a 24-hour television news channel and news agency based in Singapore, broadcasting to 28 countries in Asia. This is an event that is bringing awareness to Sentinel Chain.
4. Blockchain Cryptocurrency Talk & Networking — Yogyakarta.
Our director of communications, Sue Meng Chan shared details of Sentinel Chain to an audience of 500 university students and professionals at Blockchain Cryptocurrency Talk & Networking in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The event was well-organised and aimed to create awareness of blockchain and its real world use case to grassroots communities. The event was jointly organised by Indonesian HACKLAB.ROCKS and Singapore-based Nakka. They advised that videos will be released in due course. We will be happy to share the link once we receive it!
