IntoTheBlock Risk Pulse Beta: Real Time Economic Risk Monitoring in DeFi
Real time anomaly activity monitoring across over 40 DeFi protocols.
Today, we are announcing the ITB Risk Pulse Beta, an addition to our Risk Radar platform for real time anomaly detection in DeFi protocols.
Economic risk management is a foundational pillar of DeFi and especially critical for institutional participants. At IntoTheBlock (ITB), we’ve made it a priority to embed risk models into every strategy we deploy.
When the market took a severe downturn in 2023, we recognized the urgency of enhancing our risk monitoring capabilities. We believed this was essential to advancing institutional adoption of DeFi. That insight led to the creation of our Risk Radar platform — a system that tracks a broad set of sophisticated economic risk signals across much of the DeFi ecosystem.
Since then, we’ve had the privilege of partnering with over 40 top protocols, from industry staples like Aave and Curve to rising stars like Ethena and Ether.fi. With these collaborations, ITB Risk Radar now delivers hundreds of advanced risk signals, helping large allocators model and monitor risk across the DeFi landscape.
With this comprehensive coverage in place, we asked ourselves: what if we could go beyond dashboards and offer real-time insights into significant protocol changes, lending market dynamics, liquidity pool shifts, bridge anomalies, and more?
Enter Risk Pulse.
Today, we’re excited to launch the first version of our anomaly detection system for DeFi economic activity. In simple terms, Risk Pulse analyzes thousands of data signals for meaningful deviations — ones that could indicate impactful events in DeFi. These include everything from liquidations, whale movements, and high-risk loans to volume spikes, depegs, and dozens of other indicators.
With Risk Pulse, users can monitor real-time developments, while our Risk Dashboards allow for deeper exploration and analysis. And the best part? Risk Pulse is free for all users, aligning with our mission to lower the barrier to institutional entry into DeFi. (We do offer a commercial API for more customized integrations.)
We envision Risk Pulse alerts being shared across Slack, Telegram, Discord, and everywhere else the DeFi conversation happens.
Check it out — and we’d love to hear your feedback!
