The Most Exclusive Website (literally)

Exclusivity is rarely a word used to describe a website. In this modern day of technology, companies and personal bloggers alike are working hard to increase traffic.

But modernization has also evolved to individualism (other words include customization or exclusivity). We despise anything that is common or ordinary and businesses are quick to capitalize on that. So what if you create a website that is exclusive, contrary to the norms of the worldwide web?

The MostExclusiveWebsite.com is just that. A site, which lives up to its name, only allows one person to visit it at a time. Simply enter your name to request a ticket which places you in line, behind a queue of people who also want an exclusive 60 seconds into this website (I am currently ticket #157136, behind 11,047 people as I write this).

Beware however, not to lose your place in line. You lose your ticket if the site refreshes or if you close the tab. Patience is the key to exclusivity.

Popular blogger Johnny Webber of Johnny Lists ranked it #1 in the list of “completely useless websites” (other notable mentions are purple.com- a site that you guessed it, a purple screen and watching-grass-grow.com).

But if you’re like me and have some time to kill (while I watch time tick by as I sit in my cubicle “working” in a government job this summer), it’s worth a shot to see what this hype is all about.

Because exclusivity is all about bragging rights, right?
