How did America beat Great Britain?

Guerilla warfare.

The Americans adopted a mixture of ambushes, hit-and-run raids and surprise attacks.

While the British fought in a mostly predictable fashion.

The end result?

America won.

But they didn’t win because of these guerilla warfare.

These small battles provided something else…

Small wins.

With each small win, you slowly start to believe you can win.

Do the same with your niche site.

Right now, you are America. You are small with very little resources.

How do you beat the Great Britain of your niche?

Sun Tzu, ancient military general, put it best:

Strike at what is WEAK.

Let’s face it, you can’t beat authority sites on highly competitive keywords.

(That’s an EASY loss.)

But you can win on the keywords they usually ignore:

Long-tail keywords.

So rather than ranking for ‘Best dog food’…

…you’d rank for ‘Best dog food for golden retrievers’.

(It’s a 100X easier to rank.)

This results in a small win much faster.

Repeat this process for other low competition, long-tail keywords.

Then, when you’re making money, you’ll have the resources (and belief) you can win.

So when you do face the authority sites head-to-head, you’ll fight a battle you can win.

The moment Americans won.

Work smart not hard.

Speaking of work, here’s this week’s review…

Abdul-Rahman (👑 TOP PERFORMER This Week👑)

Week 3’s progress: 21% (3/14 modules)

What Did You Do?

  • Expanded my commercial keywords list from 7 to 32 keywords
  • Took notes of new keyword research technique

What Did You Learn?

I learned 3 new keyword research techniques using Ahrefs:

  1. Analyzing competitors top pages to see what keywords they are getting the most traffic
  2. Discovered a new low competition Keyword Research technique.(This technique will be classified for now.)
  3. Search in organic keywords for “hubs”. ex: the parent keyword can be “dogs” and I will build a hub around that such as “best dogs for _______” best dogs for RAIN, best dogs for SUMMER, best dogs for WINTER etc

Why Is It Important?

Finding the right keywords is the foundation for making $$$$$$$ in affiliate marketing. So you have to get good at finding the gems.

How Will You Apply It?

Already applying when searching for keywords.

(Rocky’s Side Note: I absolutely LOVED your review this week. Great progress :)

Scott

Week 3’s progress: 20% (3/15 modules)

What Did You Do?

  • Deep niche research
  • Narrowed niches down significantly
  • Learned how to research content

What Did You Learn?

Competition is good, all profitable, high traffic niches will have competition

Why Is It Important?

Trying to find a niche that no one else has succeeded in yet can waste time

How Will You Apply It?

  1. Find niches that are working
  2. Find out how to create better content and replicate their results

(Rocky’s Sidenote: I don’t fully concur. I believe there are a TON of great niches that are profitable yet very low competition. It just takes some digging. Keep on digging. It’s worth it 😉)

TEA

Week 3’s progress: 0% (0/3 new modules)

What Did You Do?

  • Learned about Surfer SEO
  • Downloaded Authority Hacker’s course
  • Began first module (bundling keywords)

What Did You Learn?

Nothing.

Why Is It Important?

Dunno.

How Will You Apply It?

Will tell ya’ next week.

(Rocky’s Sidenote: Tea is being lazy. I’ll straighten him up next week 😛)

Rocky

Week 3’s progress: 0% (0/5 modules)

What Did You Do?

  • Finished Marketing Plan
  • Identified Site’s Top Problems
  • Bought a New Course (Authority Hacker Pro + Fat Stacks)
  • Mapped Out New Course’s Curriculum
  • Finished first video of On-Page Optimization

What Did You Learn?

Have a Set Time. We didn’t have a set time last week. The result? We worked less and missed days.

25 minute sessions (rather than 50) and missed days.

Why Is It Important?

It ruins consistency. People with the strongest habits usually do it at the same time each day.

For example:

Stephen King writes at 8 AM every single day.

Dwayne Johnson works out at 4 AM every single day.

Because of these set appointments, it doesn’t matter where they are in the world — they stay consistent to their habits.

How Will You Apply It?

  1. Set a recurring watch reminder at 2:30 PM
  2. Set reminder on PC at 2:55 PM
  3. Make a Discord announcement of the new meeting time

I did all of these things.
