Today I had to put my dog down . Salsa. 12 years old. With a nasty cancer eating the left side of her mouth.

I took this photo 5 minutes before entering the vet and saying good bye.

I was a mess — I’m still a mess to be honest.

It has been a difficult week.

Growing an agency , blogging, supporting clients, sales, marketing, being a dad of 3, a boss, a husband, video recording…. it hasn’t been easy.

But today while I was in pain…. Goanna Social kept working. Strong. Brave. Like a little Gas Engine.

— This is why I built an Agency — —

My Australian Staff did on-boarding of a new $3000 per month client.
My 2 Web Designers finished a WordPress site and then finished the last test for a new Shopify site we are developing.

My sales team (virtual Assistant) , found 4 new potential leads for us to follow up and my app marketing assistant worked on some App Marketing Audits for a client.

I open Skype, check email 3 times… and spend time with my kids . (and I cried non stop to be honest)

It was an emotional day for all of us.

But during this emotional day, the tears, the goodbye…. I had a moment of clarity and I learned 5 important lessons.

1. Outsource to a point you trust your team 100%

I didn’t doubt my team one moment. They knew I was going through a difficult time. They took care of everything. I wasn’t there checking, supervising. They had my back.

It felt great.

2. Automate Lead Generation

You need to find a way that leads keep coming. Regardless what you do have a system that make leads arrive… good, bad, mediocre. It’s not important. A lead is a lead… just be sure you have something in place. You can always improve the funnel.

3. Hire Local.
(Even if you are already outsourcing)

Hiring local has change everything. But having someone “with you”… ‘in your office”… looking at what you are looking… chances everything.

I have always been an “outsourcing” person. But recently I realise the importance of building internal teams in house.

4. Start planning to replace yourself of your business today.

I love what I’m doing… but I don’t want a business that “is me”… I have done that in the past. This time I’m building an agency that can run without me.
Thinking of replacing yourself from day #1 — It’s vital to achieve real freedom.
Don’t let your creation dictate your future.

5. Work your Ass Off so you can STOP working when you heart needs to stop working

People that work from 9 to 5 can’t stop work suddenly without asking “the boss” of requesting permission

That’s why Entrepreneurs, we work harder. We work harder because the fruit of our effort gives us the freedom to STOP at any stage if required.

Our dedication and insane work ethic gives us the freedom of not working if we don’t want to. Be have an insane credits in the bank of accountability and productivity .

Not every day it’s crush time.

Day #52 Stats Goanna Social

— — NONE — — —

Today is a quiet day in my life.
