Good things don’t come easily. If they do, there must be some hidden agenda, or they don’t last for long. The value attributed to something that you have toiled for and earned, is never the same as the value you award to something you’ve just been given and laboured not for. True joy therefore comes after seeing the fruits of your success blossom, and flourish before your eyes. You get the true feeling of being rewarded for your hard work and selflessness.

Becoming a world class developer doesn’t come easily, and therefore needs a lot of dedication, and hard work. The fight is still on till today, which is the fourth day at the boot camp. It is such an engaging one, and yet interesting and inspirational. I have been introduced to the strength and power of powerful algorithms. Good software is always characterised by the amount of time it takes to accomplish a given task, and the amount of system resources used. I can say, I’m slowly but surely mastering the art of writing strong and yet efficient algorithms to solve world class problems.

Andela has taught me to look at problems in a variety of perspectives. Everyone in the world has a different perspective at which he looks at problems, and solves them. However, what makes one stand out from the crowd is the ability to consider the variety of perspectives presented on table, and come up with the most efficient and reasonable solution. This has been a characteristic of the numbers that I found in the programming labs today. Every method to solving a problem is right, but there is always the most correct method, and that’s what Andela wants to you find out. For sure, this is making genius out of me.

I am really loving the commitment of the supervisors towards ensuring that the best in us manifests at all times during this process. Their feedback, and precise answers to our queries keep us going forward and motivates us to try out more challenging things and be awesome at them.

In a nutshell, I sum up everything in this statement; “The Struggle Continues”.
