I woke with a startle. I had the same damn dream every night before the start of school, other students laughing and pointing fingers at me; in reality, it’s my life story.
My mom burst through my door bitching because I wasn’t up. She gave me 30 minutes before hell broke loose.
I rushed around getting ready, then remembered I’d forgotten to turn in my online summer project. Yeah, I’m a geek like that. It was on enucleate and eye removal. Fun times.
I submitted and ran out the door with a minute to spare.
Senior year, here I come.
