I would rather sit in silence than listen to this law podcast Mother had playing on the radio. I would change the channel, but that would be like a slap in my mother’s face since it was her podcast that she was listening to.
“I can walk from here.” I pointed to where all the other students were walking toward the center quad.
“I will take you to the front entrance.” Mother didn’t even consider the option.
I exited the vehicle, waiting for some sort of parental inspiration; all I got was the squeal of tires as she sped away.
