Constable George Harris, as Alister Sheppard exited the police station, stood by the front desk. Desk Sergeant Richard Gough, looking through some much-needed paperwork, noticed his colleague hadn’t moved.

“Do you know who that is?” addressing Gough, Harris asked.

“No,” responded Gough. “Who?”

“Alister Sheppard is David Sheppard’s paternal grandfather,” Harris revealed. “You should have seen the way Goldilocks bounced on…”

“His grandfather’s knee?,” giving a loud laugh, Gough interrupted.

“Yes,” grinning Harris. “His knee.”

Gough and Harris, understanding exactly what the elderly Sheppard is and what he likes, get the impression there will be no trouble coming their way.

A drabble consists of exactly 100 words. The read time is short. Please remain with the article for at least 30 seconds. I would appreciate it if you would leave a comment, highlight anything of interest, and clap.
