It’s amazing to be able to productively work with a group of team all around the world. I’ve also learned some things along the way that I’ll share here.

Just like for in person coworkers it makes sense to ask them about their weekend, help them move forward in their career and make time for bonding, the same is true remote workers.
If you’re communicating mostly in text, often tone and emotion are missing. Use animated GIFS and emoji to bring that emotional character into your conversation. A high-five GIF can go a long way to mimicking the emotion of an IRL interaction.
