Here I discuss my
first attempts at
“Department Openers”
Department Openers are poster like pages always on the left-hand side to indicate the beginning of a section in the Front of the Book (see next two cards) around a theme, e.g. Music, Art, Fashion, etc.
Front of the Book: The front section of the magazine consisting usually of a Table of Contents, Editor’s Letter, Contributors, Advertisements, and short one-two page topics.
