Witold Pilecki was a Polish cavalry officer, intelligence agent and resistance leader during World War 2.
He was one of the first individuals to raise concerns about concentration camps in and around Poland.
He was part of an operation that involved being deliberately captured and imprisoned in one of these camps.
Witold was imprisoned in one of the most famous, and most notorious camps of them all.
