My European Voluntary Service Project in Poland

“You don’t have to be a billionaire to believe you can make a difference. Give your resources to a charity and volunteer in your community.”
6 months ago the words of famous American journalist Germany Kent impressed me — an Armenian girl, who had been working in mass media more than 2.5 years. And I decided to become an EVS volunteer. Of course, I have always realized the importance of creating a civilized community, sound society and I’ve been a volunteer in Youth Cooperation Center of Dilijan NGO since 2012. But this time my eager of volunteering, the thought that I can be useful for many people around the world, force me to leave my carefree and happy life, my friends, my work in Armenia and to move to Poland. And as you can see, I am here.

Now I am doing first steps of my self-determined life, full of new discoveries and also challenges in both professional and personal level. I am trying to examine positive and negative sides of my decision. But before making conclusions I am enjoying one of the essential parts of my program — meeting new friends from different parts of the world and getting to know their cultures
