Data Science — A Trip
Data Science is a field about processes and systems that enable the extraction of knowledge or insights from data.
Data Science employs techniques and theories from different fields.
The Data Science process needs to be reliable. It must also be possible to repeat the steps to reproduce the results.
The Data Science process consists of a number of steps which include:
- Business Understanding
- Data understanding
- Data preparation
- Modeling
- Evaluation
- Deployment
The most common methodology for Data Science is the Cross-industry standard process for data mining. This is abbreviated as CRISP-DM.
