FRAMES OF THE DRONE

FRAME SIZE :the size of the frame is measured diagonally(in mm), a frame measuring less than 150 mm motor to motor is categorized as micro. and a frame distance more than 150 mm is categorized as mini.Frames tend to be made as small as possible to keep the weight down, and motors as close to the centre as possible.

MATERIALS USED FOR THE FRAME :majority of the frames are made from the carbon sheet because of its low weight, high strength .it is electrically conductive material so sometimes it lead to the short circuit and burning of the components, it also blocks the radio signals so antennas should not e hidden in the frame, an avg 5" frame is milled with 4 mm of carbon fiber and others required about 1.5 to 2 mm. other than carbon next popular is HDPE , some are made up of combination of carbon and aluminium or 3D printed TPU , and some are made up of wood it is one of the most inexpensive .

WEIGHT OF THE FRAME :

stronger frames are heavier and are more stable in air.lighter frames are efficient and quick, and require lower throttle to hover and gives longer flight time, reacts more quickly to stick inputs and accelerate faster, bcz of this it may lead to the bend and vibrate, affect the FC and PID controllers and make tuning a real hassle.Furthermore, ultralight frames often sacrifice protection for components in the quest to lose a few grams.
