“I’m always like this.”

I live with a disability. That can be confusing for some people. This series is an ongoing collection of often unprompted remarks from strangers.

In the context of a public social encounter these remarks can be embarrassing and annoying. In the context of a series or coffee table book they are funny and highlight the ridiculousness of disability exclusion.


“I’ve met a lot of people in wheelchairs…you’re the happiest one!”

“At least you’re beautiful.”
