Here’s is little blast from the past -my first half marathon experience. (Inspired by @namyamr )

Real training started only after I joined my running group #indiranagar runners. Before that I was focusing mainly on good #instagram pic with flaunting finisher medal. I bought myself good running pair of shoes #adidasultraboost and gps watch #garminforrunner220. Obviously was mocked by friends spending too much but who cares. The baggage of money spent on the gears only made me wake early morning for training runs. It was in one of the training runs @ratan picked me in mid way and started pacing me. That was real booster for me as I was loosing interest in the middle of the runs. To be honest I mainly focused on building mileage rather than pace/speed. The race day story is still fresh. Be it your patience at start line or taming my speed at crucial part of race or sacrificing your gel at 17km mark Ratan everything is memorable.Sight of Ankita few meters before finish line made me sprint little harder. I call it magical moment . That post run glow and the happy realisation of the strength within me is quite evident in the pic .
Though I never targeted for any timing but It was 2:13 for my First HM (SPBM 2016) .
