Offence

Offence: when some one or a group of people feel a they have been attacked or are upset by someone else. Germany was blamed for World War One and the people felt a lot of resentment and anger towards Europe. This was justified offence as everyone involved was equally to blame.

. However recently people are offended without justification, people online will hear an opinion and be deeply offended by it. This then escalates as the situation is. exasperated by the ‘offended’ as they go on to retaliate and start an unnecessary feud.

An example of this is gender, some people get offended when people get their gender assuming they are male or female but instead of letting it go as it is a simple misunderstanding they feel the need to call them out as neo nazis, yes I understand that is an exaggeration but my point still stands

IT IS COUNTERPRODUCTIVE TO BE OFFENDED.
