Burnt Finance is an NFT marketplace specializing in minting, whether that be one or 1,000,000 tokens. Users can sell their NFTs through various price discovery mechanisms like English auctions, Dutch auctions, and Buy Now on the Burnt platform. We take zero transaction fees and our platform is completely peer-to-peer.

It’s been a fun journey partnering with you guys for this joint NFT project drop. It’s since evolved into a much more vibrant and exciting project that involves creating this NFT ecosystem around Serum.
The one thing I’m super excited about is that when most people think of Serum, they probably know Serum as a decentralized exchange. And, actually, a big part of Serum’s success moving forward is dependent upon the ecosystem projects. Not the projects built by the Serum core team.
It’s the almost 100 projects on the Serum platform that are built by people all over the world in a decentralized way that are going to be the most important. And, I think this ecosystem NFT project is a great way to visualize what the ecosystem of Serum looks like.

I think this project has been a long time in the making. I don’t remember the final number, but I think it’s 11 key projects.
It’s funny because we started off with this diverse concept of, “What if we work with Serum?” And then, things took off and we were like, “What if we dive into the Serum ecosystem?” because there is a giant ecosystem. That’s how all of this started, just trying to bring the ecosystem together that you guys have been working on, and been a cornerstone of, for so long.
Even from the side of NFTs, Serum is bringing people together. There’s just so much power and visualization, and it’s been a fun ride so far.

Exactly. So, getting into the details of how the NFT project would work, I think the first drop would be the Serum Surfers. Originally, we started off with divers but we’re really excited about the surfer concept now. And, eventually, each ecosystem partner will have their own mint mechanics and utility for their own projects.
The overarching theme for all of the NFT projects is the marine ecosystem. We think it’s really suitable for Serum because we’re all about volume and providing liquidity, so a lot of these projects that we’re working with will be dropping NFT collections around the marine ecosystem theme.
After Serum Surfers, additional drops will be occurring in the following weeks. We’ll be partnering with some existing NFT projects, as well as thought leaders in the space, to create competitions and prizes where users can win spots on the whitelist. We’ve also made a Discord channel for the Serum Surfers NFT drop, so stay tuned for more details there.
KingintheCave.SOL
There will be 100 Serum Surfer tokens all with different attributes and rarity percentages. We’ll also have some famous people and some famous Twitter influencers sprinkled in but we can’t really say who that is yet. We’ll also be giving away 1000 whitelist spots.
Burnt Gabli
So, Serum Surfers is designed to pay homage to Solana Beach and Anatoly being a founder of Solana and being a surfer in his early days. So, the collection is based around that coastline/beach-type vibe.

We’re really excited to be the first collection that’s coming out of your platform, and also shout out to the team behind everything at Burnt. There’s been so much speed, energy, and creativity that collaborating with you guys has been amazing.
