Google Chrome to drop padlock on HTTPS with minor errors

From Chrome 46 websites that have HTTPS errors will no longer display any padlock in the browser window.

This means that the mixed content warning is being dropped from Chrome completely. The padlock with yellow triangle is gone. Mixed content is caused when a website loaded over https also loads external resources, such as javascript or images, via http. The Minor errors notification has also recently been used to highlight where the https connection is not using the latest cryptography.

Google have stated that this is to create fewer security states and help users simply see if a site is secure or not. Ultimately Google plans to move to two states just showing if a site is secure or insecure.
