Spring ’17 Public Education: Betty Hodges on Educational Inequity in Marin City

Flyer distributed for local rally

Since 2016, the Sausalito Marin City School District has been under state investigation for inappropriate use of funds between its charted and public schools. For most of the 2016–2017 school year, with only one full time teacher, the education for Bayside/MLK Middle School students has been severely compromised. Betty Hodges, director of The Hannah Project in Marin City, visited the CASC Theory and Practice class to educate us on some crucial information and her personal insights on the situation. With her permission, we recorded the class conversation to share with other students, faculty, staff, and community partners.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
