Products like Olo and Flipdish are in a totally different position Andy. I think Doordash and Uber Eats see the consumer as their primary customer and see themselves as givers of business to restaurants (there are lots of anecdotal stories of them strong arming restaurants). White label solutions, on the other hand, see the restaurant as the primary customer and the consumer is a user of the product. It is a partnership and, as such, the customer experience of the restaurant should be much better. In an ideal world, the customer experience of the consumer should be the same on both types of app. In reality, it is hard for white label solutions to compete with the might of Uber, Deliveroo et al on the logistics and technology front. If I owned a restaurant I would certainly try to make the white label scenario work.
