Niall Ferguson, Renowned Economic Historian, Joins SesameOpen as Advisor
SesameOpen was founded with the goal of creating a new, decentralized commerce channel that solves the massive product discovery challenge that vendors face when trying to sell through large ecommerce websites. Key to achieving that goal is designing the appropriate incentives and token monetary policy to align the consumers, vendors, and venues that participate in the SesameOpen Network.
With that goal in mind, SesameOpen is excited to announce the addition of Niall Ferguson as a Founding Advisor. Ferguson is a renowned economic historian and political commentator, who currently serves as a senior fellow of the Hoover Institution at Stanford and of the Center for European Studies at Harvard. He is also a visiting professor at Tsinghua University, Beijing. Ferguson, the author of The Square and the Tower: Networks and Power from the Freemasons to Facebook, will provide his expertise as a financial historian as SesameOpen builds the protocol that powers the new commerce channel.
Ferguson shares the SesameOpen team’s belief that a smart monetary policy is critical for the success of any crypto project. “By thinking innovatively about token design early in the project, SesameOpen is already ahead of the game in ensuring the long-term success of the business,” says Ferguson. He continues, “I’m excited about working with the SesameOpen team as we try to design the optimal ‘monetary policy’ for their consumers, vendors, venues, and investors.”
