Cartagena is a very important city in Colombia. It is a city of contrasts. The center of the city was designated a Unesco World Heritage site. It has beaches, moderns buildings, traditional houses, malls, excellent restaurants, and famous bars. Tourist around the world arrives in Cartagena.
Friday
12 pm
When you arrive in Cartagena, you have to find a hotel. The best hotel in the world by TripAdvisor is in Cartagena. It’s name is San Augustine House Hotel(www.hotelcasasanagustin.com). It’s a boutique hotel. A night in this hotel cost around $ 400. If you want another hotel that is cheaper, my recommendation is the Palmetto Elliptic ( Career 1, street 7–12). It is a building with modern apartments. It is opposite the beach. A night costs around $150.
After this you should go to lunch. A good restaurant in Cartagena is “Socorro’s Kitchen”. This restaurant is famous for it’s seafood. I recommend eating shrimp rice. Lunch costs about $ 25.
3 pm
You should go explore the center of the city. It is a historic place. The streets are made of stone. You can walk or ride a bike. It costs about $5. After this you can visit San Felipe Castle but there is an entrance fee.
7 pm
You should have dinner in Cuzco ( street Santo Domingo # 33 -48). It is a Peruan Restaurant, and is excellent. The dinner there costs about $ 30. After dinner you can take a traditional carriage ride. It’s about $ 10 1 hour.

You should go to “ San Pedro Square”. In this square is San Pedro’s Coffee, which is a restaurant. You can sit down there and see church of San Pedro Claver. You can have lunch in Baru. The traditional food is fish with coconut rice. It costs about $ 10. Also, go to the aquatic amusement, jet sky is funny. It costs about $ 10 for a half- hour.
2 pm
Returns to Baru. Go to Caribbean Square, ( Street 29 D 22). Go window shopping.
After, go to Juan Valdez( Caribbean Square, second floor ) and drink the best coffee of the world. It costs about $ 2.
