Introduction

Chicago is the third populous city in U.S and and the biggest city in Illinois State and the midwest. It is home to 2.7 million people, and famous for blues, architecture, Al Capone and the Bulls which is basketball team of Chicago. Also, it is freezing on winter and usually windy because of Lake Michigan, that’s why this city is called ‘the Windy city’.

Friday

12pm

The biggest airport near Chicago is the O’hare international airport, and it is connected to downtown Chicago by the CTA blue lines, so it is easy to access.

There are a bunch of hotels in downtown Chicago, and Hyatt Regency Chicago (151 East Wacker Drive, http://www.chicagoregency.hyatt.com) is the best choice for you because of easy-access and high-quality room service even though it is expensive. Urban Holiday Lofts (2014 W Wabansia Ave, http://www.urbanholidaylofts.com) which is located in Wicker Park area is also highly recommend. Wicker Park is the best hipster neighborhood in Chicago, and there are lots of fancy restaurants, cafes and shops. Also you can travel to downtown easily by CTA blue lines.

3pm

After you check-in to your hotel or hostel, you should go to Millennium Park. It is very small, but there are enough things to enjoy. You can take a picture in front of cloud gate -called The Bean- which is one of the most famous spots in Chicago. After, head left, where you can find crown fountain. Enjoy your time at crown fountain.

If you can ride a bicycle, you must rent a bicycle and ride to Museum Campus. You can see beautiful scenery of Michigan Lake while you are riding, and also you can see the amazing skyline of Chicago when you arrive at Adler Planetarium.

7pm

The purple pig (500 N Michigan Ave, http://thepurplepigchicago.com) maybe the best choice for your dinner. This pork-cuisine restaurant gives you ultimate satisfaction. Milk braised Pork Shoulder and Pork Blade Steak are must.

After your dinner, you must go to the signature lounge at the 96th, John Hancock tower (875 N Michigan Ave, http://www.signatureroom.com/TheSignatureLounge). Drink a cocktail with a fantastic nightime view of Chicago. Costs around $20. highly recommended.

11pm

If you want to enjoy yourself more, you should head to Wicker Park. hole-in-the-wall Big Star (1531 N Damen Ave, http://bigstarchicago.com) is always packed but you definitely can enjoy and relax with local Chicago beer and tacos.

Saturday

6am

Wake early and walk along Michigan Lake. Michigan Lake is a famous jogging course and you can see other people who are jogging there. Also, you can breath fresh air and keep your eyes peeled for beautiful scenery of Michigan Lake.

After your walk, you should taste fancy brunch at wild berry pancakes & cafe (130 E Randolph St, http://www.wildberrycafe.com/chicago.html). Try eggs benedict or the chicken sandwich. Chicago-based coffee intelligentsia(53 E Randolph St Chicago, http://www.intelligentsiacoffee.com)is must. Why don’t you enjoy a cup of coffee after the brunch? Intelligentsia is opposite of Wild berry.

12am

You can also go window shopping on Michigan ave. Michigan ave is the center of shopping in Chicago and there are several department stores such as Water Tower Place, Macy’s, Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus, and so on. so if you are interested in shopping, it will be the best time for you.

2pm

If you’re sweets lover, you must head to Lincoln Park because there is a Molly’s cupcakes (2536 N Clark St, Chicago, http://www.mollyscupcakes.com) which has various lines up. You can choose whatever cupcakes you want. Peach cobbler and Crème brûlée are strongly recommended.
