Controversial Dialogue: Marvel vs DC?
John and Amy were waiting in line to enter Comic Con 2015, a big event for all the Geek community. During that time they were talking about new movies, series, and games. But suddenly two baby twins passed by. One was wearing a Batman costume and the other was wearing an Iron Man costume.
“Awww! They look so cute,” Amy said.
“I know, the baby that is wearing the Iron Man suit is incredible!” John replied.
“Yeah, he looks so cute, but I prefer the Batman costume.”
“What do you mean?” John asked. “You think that Batman is better?”
“Yes, just like all the other superheroes that DC comics have,” Amy replied. “C’mon everybody knows who runs the world of comics”
“Yeah and that is Marvel! They have the best superheroes!”
“Are you talking serious?” Amy asked with a sarcastic smile. “You cant compare Batman with Iron Man. I know that both are rich and cool, but Batman has style.”
“Well…” John thought deeply, “Batman is a special case! But Marvel has more important superheroes than DC. Just look, we have the Avengers, The Guardians of the Galaxy, and SO MUCH MORE!”
“We have the Justice League, Suicide Squad, and Teen Titans. Do you want me to name you more?”
“You have to admit that Marvel has more popularity than DC comics.”
“Maybe, but its only for their movies!”
John put his hands to his mouth, he couldn't believe what she just said. Then he replied, “You don't appreciate the art. Marvel has the best stories. Oh! Thanks for reminding me that we have better movies.”
“Our movie universe hasn't started, but I guarantee you that it is going to be awesome and better structured. ”
Suddenly a kid who was wearing a Chewbacca costume appeared and said: “I cant believe that both of you are arguing about this. This is an endless fight, everybody knows that! Why don't you accept your differences and respect each other. Marvel and DC comics are the best!”
John and Amy looked at each other. They knew that the kid was right. Suddenly the line started to move. They knew that it was going to be an incredible day.
