Milon and a fun experience
When you arrive at the address 93 1st Avenue, East Village, in New York, you see 4 doors, with waiters in front. If you don’t know which restaurant you want to go to, the waiter will make up your mind for you.
The most famous restaurants are upstairs. On the right side is Panna II and on the left side is Milon.
If you choose Milon, your experience will be amazing.
First, it’s decoration is completely different because it has Christmas lights, colourful lights and flags from every country in the world. The decoration isn’t just on the ceiling but also on the walls too. The place is very cozy and the lights make all the difference.
The place is small and so are the tables. Maybe, you will sit in a collapsible chair, but it’s a small detail and nothing that will be disrupt your time in Milon.
The appetizer is free. Yes!!! You get famous bread and three types of sauce. Only one isn’t spicy. Delicious.
The menu is very, very nice and the food is too. Any choice is a good idea because everything is delicous. But, for me, the best plates are “our chef`s specialties.”
The breads, are completly delicious. My favorite is Garlic Paratha. You can wet the bread in the sauce on your plate. It is very thin, soft, and the taste is wonderful.
The dessert is free too!!! It’s simple but after the gastronomic experience the ice cream is perfect.
The drinks aren’t the best part but actually the amazing part. You can bring your own drinks including wine and beer. You won’t see a charge on your bill. And the price, is good, is cheap.
Finally, sometimes, inside of the restaurant is a party in itself. The music is so fun. And, when you have a birthday, one of the waiters turns off the lights, and turns on the stroble lights while playing the indian version of style “happy birthday to you”.
P.S. One thing that the resturant could change, is the floor. Now, its a carpet which is not easy to clean. But, this place is so cool, that you don’t even notice.
